Announcing AI for Science Fellows / Spring 2026

The Spring 2026 AI for Science Build Fellows

We are excited to introduce the Spring 2026 Worldwide AI for Science Build Fellows.

The free, virtual fellowship brings together builders, researchers, founders, and engineers who want to keep up with the latest in AI and hardware while building in community. Fellows share progress and ship new open-source projects every two weeks.

Worldwide has hosted more than 1,000 builders through AI-for-science hacks in San Francisco, including a recent build with Monomer Bio. This fellowship makes that momentum available to people building anywhere.

Meet the fellows

Dale

Dale is in Fresno, California, with a background in SolidWorks CAD and mechanical drafting. His first project is a 3D-printable T75 flask decapper for lab-automation workflows.

Mohamed

Mohamed joins from Malaysia with a background in electrical engineering and robotics-control software. He is building a personal OpenClaw agent on Ubuntu with a Telegram channel, Gemini Flash backend, and four custom skills, including live arXiv search and daily briefings from a JSONL store.

Natalie

Natalie is a molecular cell biologist in South San Francisco who began building through Fifty Years’ 5050 program. Her first fellowship project is a protocol-generator agent that takes files and documents as input and produces new lab protocols.

Akhil

Akhil is in Fremont, California, and is moving into a new test-engineering role. He built a privacy mirror that lets someone safely share data with an LLM and recover the original information.

Julia

Julia is a scientific consultant in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her first build used Karpathy’s autoresearch approach to classify heart-monitoring data.

Sameer

Sameer brings a strategy and operations background from New York. His first project explored how to design the next steps in protocol development.

Vivek

Vivek is building autonomous learning systems for labs. His first project is a digital-twin setup for a beehive that explores swarm patterns.
